I love this week's theme of "White". The pure, simplicity of white is very soothing to me in my world of color. Since my mother always chose beige in her decorating scheme, because "it goes with everything", I have rebelled, filling my home with brilliant rich colors mostly in deep reds and golds, patterns and solids.
Now that I am drawn to white, I have a bit of work to do. But I can take a step at a time in changing things out. Have you see the website: http://whiteironstonecottage.blogspot.com/ It is one of many websites that showcase white and some pastels in decorating.

Setting up my shot
Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
I do so love hydrangeas and your photos are wonderful! love all the editing!
ReplyDeleteMy mother was a beige lover, too! I think we might have the same taste because my house is decorated with golds and reds as well! A couple of years ago we redecorated the living room with a brown and ice blue color palette. The brown is nice and rich, but the ice blue brightens it up. Still have gold and red in the other rooms.
ReplyDeleteWish I had the time to participate in the White challenge. There are some amazing photos being submitted. These hydrangeas are beautiful!
Lovely display of white

Nicely done! Love hydrangeas in any color! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteOh beige! As a child in the 70's in England I grew up in a house filled with brown. It was all the rage then. That and bright floral wallpaper and curtains in every room. Horrendous!
ReplyDeleteWhite is definitely soothing and also very beautiful I agree.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your very thoughtful and nice comments.
