Go rest high up on the mountain

Nick, former husband and father to my Katie -  June 30, 1946 to June 25, 2011

Go Rest High On That Mountain lyrics
Songwriters: Gill, Vince;

I know your life on earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the Devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to Heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

Oh, how we cried the day you left us
We gathered round your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the angels' faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

So go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to Heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

So go rest high on that mountain
Son, your work on earth is done
Go to Heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

Go to Heaven a shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

My former husband, Nick Charles, lost his battle early this morning to Stage 4 Metastatic Bladder cancer. He was a complicated man, but after spending 13 years married to him, I can't help but feel the loss.

If you have time, here is a video that was made this past father's day. He had just built his dream house overlooking a mountain range in Santa Fe, N. M. Thanks for looking.

May the peace of Christ be with all of you today, my friends!

  7. Charlotte, I'm so sorry he lost his battle. I know you are feeling the loss and must be grieving in your own way. What a handsome, accomplished man he was. Sorry I was out of town over the weekend and just getting home to see this. Hope your daughter is doing okay. (((((hugs)))))

My husband has been battling stage 4 kidney cancer for four and half years now. It's all scary.
