A few Tulip Pictures

Hi sweet peeps! I sure hope you are having a good week so far! I am so enjoying this gorgeous weather. It is just so warm and wonderful. If you look outside my window, it is raining snowing pink petals from my huge cherry tree. And there is also a yellow haze of pollen all over the cars and patio furniture.  Not good for those with allergies.

I am having a ball editing photos that I took of some tulips that Katie's friend gave her recently. And I have fallen in love again with Flora Bella textures.

The birds are out singing in the morning sun.

A Kim Klassen texture was added here.

Peace, love and joy to you! See you next time!

Texture Tuesday ,Creative Exchange & Design Challenge

Kim Klassen's Warm Grunge, Scratches & Pour Vous Textures

Hi Everyone! I sure hope that the temperature where you are, is cooler than it has been.

We are actually enjoying a "cold front' and the mornings have been heavenly.

Today's theme at Texture Tuesday is movies. I had this old postcard from 1913 that I found in an antique shop years ago so I thought of the movie, "You've Got Mail". I am stretching a bit, since the movie is referring to the automated voice on your computer announcing that you have email.

Here is the front of the postcard:

And the back message:

It is addressed to someone named Miss Wynonna Barnes. There is no street address; just Eaton, Ohio. Must have been a small town then. And look at the postage; one penny.
Wow, how things have changed in our methods of communication. My daughter often asks me how I ever got together with anyone before texting. Ha! It was a bit more difficult then, I admit. I remember waiting for a boyfriend to call and realized someone was using our phone. There was no "call waiting" then. Just a busy signal.

Texture Tuesday and Creative Exchange

Hello to you all! Hope your day is going well. Mine is. It is cooler here today and is such a nice respite from the Georgia heat. Thank God for air conditioning. Can you imagine life without it? It has been like an unending steam bath.

I am using some photos that I posted yesterday but added Kim Klassen's new textures: canvas magic and stamped_softly on each of them. It really gives it a canvas look.

In addition to the two textures I mentioned, I added a third one to this pumpkin picture: KK Nutmeg. What do you think? I like the warm feeling it gives.

I am linking up with The Creative Exchange and Texture Tuesday.
Have a wonderful day!

Texture Tuesday and Creative Exchange

Hi Everyone! I hope your week is off to  a good start.
Here is my entry today for Texture Tuesday, using Kim's new texture, Dream. I first duplicated the photo, then added the texture at 90% on Multiply. Using a soft black brush I "erased" the texture from the main rose at 85%.
Going shopping to find some more white pitchers today. See you tomorrow for White Wednesday.

I am linking to Texture Tuesday and The Creative Exchange.

Does anyone know why this Creative Exchange button isn't working? No one else seems to have the problem. I can see the button here, until I publish and then I get a box that says that it has been deleted. {???}

Tomatoes and Textures

Hello Everyone! I hope you are staying cool.
Some good friends of ours gave us these beautiful tomatoes last weekend.
And while I am waiting for them to ripen fully, I thought I would use them in this post.
On this one, I used KK Aurora, Multiply @ 35% and KK Love in layers, Soft at 24%.

Can you see the pretty white plate... I know since I used spot focus, all is not in focus. But can you believe I got it at Goodwill for $2? And it was made in Italy.
Flora Bella French Linen (warm), Vivid at 24%, then KK Scratches, Overlay @45%, brushed over parts at 75% opacity.

On this photo I tried a new filter on PSE 9 called "craquelure". Next step was to use a layer mask to "erase" the texture from the two front flowers. Hey, I learned something new today. Yay!
I am going to link up with Texture Tuesday, White Wednesday and The Creative Exchange.
