Yay! My deck is done! And the lone cricket

Well here it is, friends, finally. I have been waiting and waiting for this dream to come true. It is like having another room to go to for reading, relaxing, entertaining. i just love it! Jim finally let us step on it after he painstakingly coated it with about 5 coats of sealer. The dogs love it too, especially my 15 year old that you can see going up the ramp. So much better than steps.

Here are the builders; Jim, my husband and Harvey, designer extraordinaire. It took them several weeks to build in their free time. Thanks, guys!

Random thought: Have you ever been awakened by a cricket in your bedroom in the middle of the night? Well that is what happened to us last night. It was like having a fourth pet in the room with us. It was LOUD. I actually like the symphony of crickets when I am outside at night, but one is annoying. Jim got up and got his shoe and was going to seek and destroy but he couldn't find it.
And if that is the only problem i have for awhile, then I am truly blessed. LOL

Have a wonderful week, my friends!

Jim and Harvey did a masterful job! The deck is awesome! Now that it's getting cooler, you'll really use it. About the cricket, don't they bring good luck?!

Wahoo on the new deck, you will have loads of good times there especially in the Fall on those nice days and better yet, no steps, that ramp is perfect. You had some awesome help and the designer did a perfect job too.

I know what you mean about that noise in the night. I miss my 4 cats, they would find a bug, circle it and scare it to death. If you had 8 eyes looking at you, you would keel over too. Now, I am the one that has to get up and go bug hunting with the vacuum cleaner hose.

Have fun on your new deck.

Charlotte, your new deck is spectacular!! What an amazing job your guys did. It most definitely is like having another room to relax in. Good description. Wish I could sit out there with you drinking an ice cold glass of tea. :)

What a pain to have that cricket in your bedroom making all sorts of noise. Hope he found his friends outside so you can rest tonight.
