Last Mandevilla blossom on my deck |
Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. You are, aren't you?
There haven't been too many photo ops for me lately but I am looking forward to going to the country in the next couple of weeks to get some fall color shots.
How about you? What have you been up to lately?
Since the 60mm macro lens is out of my range (budget) right now, I decided to get a set of macro filters to try out. They were under $20 for a set of 4; +1,+2,+4 & +10.
I just screwed the filter onto my lens and headed to my backyard to shoot.
I figured out that you can't use your auto focus...have to go manual focus. Which is hard for me as I don't see that well. But I will continue to try.
I think I probably should have had a smaller aperture, like a 16, to get more focus on the petals.
Although this is the most unfocused of all, I kind of liked the dreaminess of it.
Enjoy your day!

Charlotte, I think these are beautiful!! The last one is most definitely my favorite. Congratulations on the new filters, and I look forward to seeing more!
Thank you so much for sharing these at The Creative Exchange.
Have a wonderful evening!

We should have lots more blooms yet, seems like garden flowers get at there best when it is cool like the fall. Thanks for sharing. Richard at My Old Historic House.
They are all beautiful! You did a very good job with them. I have a bo-kay (it didn't like the first two spellings, so I'm going phonectic!)
of Canterbury Bells. Think tomorrow I'll try w/my close-up filter!
Love how you edited them!
Lovely pictures. Enjoy your week.
Blessings,

Alright-Mighty-Fine!! I think these are smashing and love the yellow one, the center is breathtaking and the detail. You will see things in a whole new light. Try putting the 10 and the 4 together and really go nuts. Have to have lots of light is key. Guess you may have to wait till the rain passes. At least I hope we get some rain, the magnolia trees on our property are showing some stress.
I cant wait to see what else you take a picture using these filters.
Hi.........Thanks for visiting my blog with your comment:D I love your idea of script on the tool box, but don't know where to find them (letters or words).
Lovely macros! The first two are my favorites, the perspective and the textures are beautiful. I will definitely have to check out macro filters. Thank you for sharing!
I'm doing the same thing for macros! I love them all, and I agree with you that the last one is dreamy. The texture is perfect also. Great job and have fun! Can't wait to see your fall photos.
The last one is my favorite too. happy new follower from White Wednesday.
