Hi Sweetie! Nice to see you. Has spring arrived in your area of the woods? Although it is officially spring today, there is still a chill in the air. My dear friends from next door brought me this lovely Gerber Daisy....so pretty and cheerful, don't you think?
Last Saturday my Jimmy took a trip to Burger's Market to get a flat of Strawberry plants. We missed out last year so we are happy to have these. The above is a strawberry bloom.
First strawberry spotted on one plant. I can't wait. I hope the birds and other critters don't get them all before we do.
Peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always, my friend!

Fantastic focus on the strawberry. Macro photography is very challenging for sure. I bought some strawberries in the store and they were huge. I don't like those big ones; they're not as sweet. Bet yours will be delicious. That purple flower looks like some sort of daisy. All very pretty photos. :)
I don't know the name of the flower but it's really pretty!
Happy First Day of Spring!!!

Happy Spring. I think your purple flower is an Anemone.
Best wishes with the strawberries. When we lived in Acworth, we LOVED Burger's Market. They always have the healthiest plants!
Thanks for your kind words of sympathy in the loss of Mary.
Blessings to you.
What beautiful photographs these are, Charlotte.
We are (many) weeks away from seeing all of this wonderful color.
I am quite sure that your flower is not a pincushion flower. I am guessing that it is some kind of daisy.
Have a wonderful evening.
so very glad you're feeling well enough to blog...continue to feel better, please.
Spring is a grew time to practice those macro shots. Great job on these.
I use manual focus for macros, and use the 100% zoom on live view on the back screen to see if I have the focus set correctly. I also use a wider depth of field on macro shots to get more in focus within the frame.
I love the dog and details in your fourth photo, delightful Charlotte.
Your last flower looks like a cineraria to me.
Great work on the macros - they're perfect! Oh how I wish we were seeing flowers and strawberries here... that's not going to happen until May!
Glad that you are feeling better, Charlotte, and back to doing one of the things you enjoy, photography. The macro on my pint & shoot works like you described. I can't use the zoom focus, but have to move in and out to find the best focus. Kind of tricky, I agree. We are looking roreard to fresh strawberries too from our resident plants. Not sure what the blue flowers are, but sure pretty.
I don't claim to be a photographer, but yours are beautiful!
If the wind would stop here in NE Florida; I'd love to get out in the yard. Not much good when the leaves are everywhere.
I remember growing up we'd head to the strawberry patch every.single.year and our mom would make delicious jam and jellies. :)
Hope that you're feeling better Charlotte!! WOW - early blooms on the strawberries and YES!! love the gerber daisies!
Great Shots!
Hello Charlotte,
Your flowers are simply beautiful. I love the purple ones, as Purple is my favorite color. Yes, spring has arrived here, but it is suppose to rain a bit this week.
I hope you are enjoying the spring days and its glorious weather.
love,
~Sheri
Great photos, Charlotte! I have definitely not mastered "macro," but I do a pretty good interpretation of the "photographer's stance" -- you know, contorting your body at an odd angle to get the "perfect" shot. It makes me look like such a pro....HA!
Thanks for the visit and sweet comments on my Spring and Easter vignettes!
Beautiful post!! Love the hidden strawberry...and your flower that's in question? I think it's an anemone =not sure how it's spelled tho=
Car shows are always fun events and we have been to many in our travels. Nice grouping of shots, Charlotte, and it is often hard to get clear ones without folks around.
Sorry I missed yiur return call and hope the family issues work out for the better, seems we all have to deal with them.

pain control or algiatry, is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. The typical pain management team includes medical practitioners, pharmacists, clinical psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, nurses. The team may also include other mental health specialists and massage therapists. Pain sometimes resolves promptly once the underlying trauma or pathology has healed, and is treated by one practitioner, with drugs such as analgesics and (occasionally) anxiolytics.
Medicine treats injuries and diseases to support and speed healing, and it treats distressing symptoms such as pain to relieve suffering during treatment, healing, and dying. When a painful injury or pathology is resistant to treatment and persists, when pain persists after the injury or pathology has healed, and when medical science cannot identify the cause of pain, the task of medicine is to relieve suffering.
