Texture Tuesday ,Creative Exchange & Design Challenge

Kim Klassen's Warm Grunge, Scratches & Pour Vous Textures

Hi Everyone! I sure hope that the temperature where you are, is cooler than it has been.

We are actually enjoying a "cold front' and the mornings have been heavenly.

Today's theme at Texture Tuesday is movies. I had this old postcard from 1913 that I found in an antique shop years ago so I thought of the movie, "You've Got Mail". I am stretching a bit, since the movie is referring to the automated voice on your computer announcing that you have email.

Here is the front of the postcard:

And the back message:

It is addressed to someone named Miss Wynonna Barnes. There is no street address; just Eaton, Ohio. Must have been a small town then. And look at the postage; one penny.
Wow, how things have changed in our methods of communication. My daughter often asks me how I ever got together with anyone before texting. Ha! It was a bit more difficult then, I admit. I remember waiting for a boyfriend to call and realized someone was using our phone. There was no "call waiting" then. Just a busy signal.

Beautiful Texture work and such a sweet postcard. Reminds me of when my grandmother received a letter addressed Grandma Seeley with the town and state. :-)

Great movie choice and wonderful image to relate the title!

My grandparents lived maybe five miles apart. They saw each other at church on Sunday, but during the week they wrote letters. I have one that each wrote the other before they married in the early 1900s.

Cool photos and processing!

Your post brought back memories of waiting for a boy to call and putting so much effort into keeping everyone off the phone. I would go into a panic if my mom got on the phone with a relative to discuss a serious situation. I still have love letters from my beaus. I thought about posting them but decided to keep them private.

Boy, what a trip down memory lane.

Btw, our temps are back to BRUTAL. Glad you are enjoying heavenly mornings, though. I know our cool front will get here. Eventually. :)

Oh, your photo looks beautiful! It works so well with that texture and frame. I'll have to check out Debra's post. I knew she had put up a new room today, but I didn't realize it was yours :)
