New Baby Photo Shoot
Hi Friends! I hope your Labor Day weekend went well. I haven't done much photography lately except for this photo shoot of a beautiful little baby girl.
It was an awesome challenge as I have only done this once before. And I did my previous baby shots in available light.
My blogging buddy, Tammy, of Simple Southern Happiness, has been passionate about learning new born photography. She has been reading everything she can get her hands on, and watching lots of video how-to's on You Tube.
She has been working with lights on her macro photography so she was ahead of the game.
Setting up the lights and the backdrop took quite a bit of time so you need to block out some time. Of course the baby was with her mother until we were set up.
Babies do not always cooperate with direction. LOL You just have to go with the moment and be sensitive to their mood. Shoot a ton of pictures and maybe you might get something you can keep.
We combined our props; headbands with feathers, flowers, tutus, pearls and wreaths stacked to look like a nest and used a soft white throw for the background.
Truthfully, when I left their house, I didn't know if I had gotten anything. It was a sinking feeling to have spent 4 hours, taking up a mother's time, and maybe having nothing to show for it.
But God was with me on this, I know. And I did get some nice shots after all.
Thanks for visiting me!
Peace and love of Jesus Christ be with you today and always!

Whispers of Love
Hello Duckies! Hope you are having a wonderful day! It is sunny and cool here in Georgia and I am loving it!
A few days ago, I had the privilege of doing a photo shoot with the most darling little baby girl. I brought along a little ballerina outfit that I had in my small collection of props. It was waiting for the perfect little person to wear it.
The moment her mom put it on her, her personality blossomed. She was WEARING the dress, if you know what I mean. All girly, is how I would describe it.
Her Mama just glowed with pride as you can see.
Can you believe that she is just a little over 1 year old? Look at those eyes!
She was fascinated with the satin flower attached to the front.
Why are babies so interested in their toes? LOL

It has been a while....
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with my good friend from North Carolina, Betty John. She stayed with her daughter's family but we met up for lunch one day. On Sunday, I met her daughter and two grand darlings at Smith Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw.

And it was a hot, hot day! We tried to stick to the shade for comfort as well as good portrait light but it was still a scorcher. We traversed on paths over 16 acres of gorgeous, ponds, special gardens, flowers and statuary.
The girls were real troupers. They were really good models and listened to instruction.
What a cute pose!
what a cutie pie! She is a real charmer. And always ready to pose and be silly.
Like a mermaid by the Koi Pond, in her aqua sun dress.
These sisters couldn't be more unlike; one is fair and tall, the other dark eyed and olive skinned. Both lovely in their own styles and personalities.
A tea party in a little secluded spot. This tea set belongs to the girl on the right, make no mistake. LOL
A little imp, if there ever was one. :o)
Time for a siesta!
So graceful!
Lovely!
Being silly!
Little garden fairy.
Posing like fashion models. Seventeen Magazine, are you looking?
So sweet!
Time to call it a day! Thanks, girls! It sure was fun!
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Charlotte ♥
