My Homemade Christmas Card

In 2008, when I took up photography again, I relied a lot on this website,

and the kindness of the people on the forum.

One of my favorite mentors is a lady named, Diana Day. She has a lot of wonderful tutorials on Photoshop Elements, and saved me from many frustrating times.

In the Elements Magazine this November/December issue, she shows how to make your own greeting cards.

The one that I made is horizontal 4 X 8 inch template, created in PSE 9. Using a blue background, I added a postcard from who else? The Graphics Fairy. Since i am the photographer in the family, no one takes our family photo, so this came in handy. I know, I could set up a tripod, but i really like this old fashioned picture.

Using some snow flake brushes that I already had loaded, I placed snow flakes in the various places.

The fancy font that I used is called "kingthings Christmas 2".

The possibilities are endless.

If anyone wants further instructions on how to do a card, please contact me here.

Peace, joy and love of Jesus be with you always!

♥Charlotte

What a beautiful card!! I think I'm going to have to "borrow" your idea since this is so perfect. Stay blessed, my friend!

Woof!
I made cards for my hoomans but they did not like it. So I am sending only to my friends. Maybe I will send to Elmo!

Charlotte...Your card is precious. Thank you so much for all the info you shared with us in the post. It is so helpful learning new sites to visit to learn new things. The font you chose is so nice and the picture out of this world genie

Yahoo gal, you did quite an impressive job on the card. Thank you for the link too, I think there is good info there.

Trying to get caught up on my favorite blogs. I think I am almost finished. I have numb-butt from sitting....

GOD bless and keep you safe!
