Christmas Linzer Cookies

These have always been a favorite of mine. I used to treat myself every once in awhile when living in New York City to one of these Linzer cookies. They are actually 2 cookies sandwiched together with a blackberry jam filling.

Since this is the season for cookie baking, I went online to find a recipe for these. I have never made them before, but the recipe was very easy to follow. And I think they turned out pretty as well as delicious.

Here is the link to the recipe: Linzer Cookie Recipe

Hope you are not getting stressed out and are enjoying life.

May the peace, joy and love of Jesus be with you today and always!

I love these and they are so pretty. I make a version of them. I cheat. I use a roll of pre -made sugar cookies. I slice one, lay on sheet, put a drop of jelly. Slice the second one, cut out the heart, place on the first one and bake. They are round, but look pretty and taste pretty good. I know your are better. Richard from My Old Historic House.

Yummy, these look wonderful. Its hard to sneak a bite of this cooking with out getting the powdered sugar all over ones mouth. When I serve these, I had my guess a damp paper towel, the powdered sugar will stick to the damp paper towel.

Hope your week is good. I have been so busy I think I am tired of the holiday now and its not even here yet. Got to slow down so I can enjoy it.
