Friendship Tomatoes

Hi Shug, how are you this hot summer day? Keeping cool I hope!

We have some lovely friends from church; Matt and Colleen. Matt is the tomato king. Every year he is the first in the neighborhood to have a great harvest of tomatoes and he loves to share his bounty with friends.

Look at these juicy gems!

He even thought to put in some that are in various stages of ripeness, for later.

And look at the clever way that he presented them to us: gift wrapped, almost.

Thanks, Matt, for your kindness in this gesture. We already had tomato sandwiches twice today! Is there anything better, with mayo, lettuce and white bread?

Peace and joy of Jesus be with you always!

How wonderful! I was given fresh tomatoes just last week from a distant cousin. Nothing tastes better than a locally grown tomato. I dread having to buy from the store now. :/ Your friend was very generous. You are indeed blessed!

Now those look delish and so kind of them to share. YES, has to be white bread with mayo and a touch of salt and pepper and dont forget the Vidalia onion.

See ya next week.

And we also had tomato sandwiches today with Grenville's home-grown beauties. Ours had lettuce, lots of mayo and bacon on oat-nut bread as we only buy white bread in Nov for turkey sandwiches.
