Three Dog Night

Hi Friend! I hope that you are having a lovely day so far!

What a difference a day makes! It has been so dry here in Georgia but last night we had a doozy of a storm. You know the kind; with lightening and loud crashing thunder. It was so bad that all three of my dogs jumped up on my bed and shivered through the whole time.

But it sure did green up my garden:

Tomato less tomato plant

Meyer Lemon Tree
One of two lemons on my tree

Elmo inspecting something

My tiny flowers are blooming again!
Look at the amount of rain we got:

Looks like about 3-4 inches

Look what happened to my poor Pony Tail Palm; it really took a beating:

But this guy looks very happy:

 So do these:

I do hope the birds come back. Do you think that they know something that I don't?

And these seemed to grow about a half a foot over night:

Thank the Lord for the rain. The plants like it so much better than city water.

Peace and love to you this day and always!

Seeing the after-effects of rain is amazing, isn't it? We've been getting a lot also and our plants are soaking up every drop, rewarding us with their brilliant displays.

My daughter entered a pie contest once using Meyer lemons and won 2nd place. Wish I could've tasted it.

Goodness, all those plants greened up! It's rained her for two days and the temp went down 25-30 degrees! Yay!

I returned home today - but Danny told me about the storm last night!! Same as you reported! Said that lightning was popping everywhere and poor Augie was up in bed w/ Danny laying up against him. Danny doesn't let Aug up in bed - but he did last night:-}}
Lovely lemon tree! Will it turn yellow or stay green?
What is the pot with the little green vines hanging? With the red ball inside??

BUT OH!! Look at your patio garden and that basil!! Is that creeping Jenny in that big pot? Beautiful!!!
Love your lemon tree, keep those squirrels away from that lemon.

I cant wait to taste my lemons when they are ripe!! YUM!

Hope you have a super weekend. Stay dry and cool. Its back up to the 90's again.

Charlotte, your little garden sure looks happy to have gotten that rain, even if the dogs were not so thrilled. Glad you enjoyed the musical chairs and wish ai had thought of that for the Friday Funnies title as several folks did. Enjoy the weekend.

Your garden is certainly looking green and fresh! Plants seem to thrive on fresh rainwater, so much more than water from a tap.
