Senior Citizen?

Hi Sweet Peas! Hope you are having a good week so far! I have been lazy ....reading a bunch. Did I tell you that I love Catherine Cookson's novels? She writes such good stories. She is a British writer and has written a bunch of books.

Above you see my constant companion. I didn't mean to cut off his backside, but you know how hard it is to get a dog to pose, right?

At his grooming/exam a week or so ago, I got the shocking news that Elmo is a senior citizen! "What?", I said, "he is just a baby". Apparently when dog reaches the ripe old age of seven years, they are considered very old. That was very depressing because one of my larger dogs is almost 15 years. What does that make her?

Friend, we must enjoy the time we have with our loved ones, two legged as well as four legged.

On another note, here are some photos from my deck:

Thanks for visiting me today at Butterbean Row! Have a fabulous week!

Sweet puppy! Our Oliver is four so he must be considered in his prime. Our two dalmatians before him became senior citizens. Cooper was 14 1/2 and Argos was 11 1/2 and they were very spry all their precious lives!!

Seven is a senior citizen? Oh, my. That means my Sparky is the age of Methuselah. Every day I look at him and am so thankful for another day together. My dogs are my babies now. Sometimes I think I should have just stuck with dogs instead of the human variety. I kid! Maybe. ;)

The shot of the moon flower is incredible! I see a big ol' star right in the center. I've never seen anything like that on a flower.

Elmo can't be a senior pooch!! Thought 12-14 was the average age for little dogs!! He's just half way there!! And WOW- 15 years old --- for a larger dog!! He's/She's lived quite well!
Neat wet lemon!!

Charlotte, your pup is so cute, I love seeing his sweet little face each time I visit your blog.
My previous vet had said that my dog was a senior and she was going to need tests etc because of her age. It sounds like a way to bring in more money. I know that people are much closer to their pets these days and treat them like little children and the vets are responding that fact.
My Tasha is 14 and doing well. She is definitely a senior.
Hopefully we have many great years with our pups ahead.

Reading a good book can so take you far far away and being away from the computer is no big deal cause it and blogging will still be around. Enjoy! And Elmo is sure good looking for an older guy.
