Hello Friend!

Hi and how are you today? I can't believe it is already Friday and I have so much to do before we go out of town for our little vacation at Destin, Florida.

Since the dog sitter friend is coming in a few days, it was bath time yesterday for Lola and Daisy Mae.

Do you know what it is like to get in the shower with an 85 pound dog who is trying to get away....especially when she is all soapy? LOL

No pictures of me in the shower with them....just the after pictures.

Poor Daisy lost her head over the whole ordeal.

Lola makes me believe that people really can have metabolism problems. She was starving when I found her and even though she hardly eats anything, she is like a small horse.
But really sweet!

I am currently reading a book about dogs and their beginnings. There is popular theory that they came from wolves. Doesn't Daisy kind of resemble a wolf here?

But others say they come from coyotes or foxes. We will never know for sure but it is interesting to speculate.

All i know is that they are man's best friend.

Taking a break
Here is what I made Jim for supper last night. He is trying Weight Watchers again so I got a cookbook that shows calories and points.

It was very tasty and colorful. Chicken coconut curry.

Have a wonderful weekend! God bless and keep you and yours!

We don't have any dogs, but we have a "kitty princess" who rules the roost around here. She's our baby and doesn't understand why we ever need to have the grandchildren come over. She pretty much avoids anyone under 4 feet, oh, water is also to be avoided at all cost! She would sympathize with your pups!

Your dogs are beautiful, Charlotte, and indeed they become such a part of our lives.

Save some of that dinner for me!! It looks so yummy.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Bet the first thing they did after their bath was to roll in the ground!

Wishing you and Jim a wonderful getaway, Charlotte. And, Grenville and myself know how hard losing weight can be, but we are working on it and slowly succeeding. Our plan of choice is South Beach and thankfully we enjoy a lot of the recipes and have all the cookbooks as well.

Oh, boy, a dog and her human in the shower? I'm not that brave. We stand outside with the hose the old-fashioned way. :)

Every WW recipe I've tried has been a hit. We've been talking about revisiting those recipes again, especially since Double D's heart stents.

Destin is a place I visited as a child. I remember such white beaches. My friend has been trying to get me to go since we live closer. Hope you have a great time!! Take lots of photos!!

I went to Florida once and fell totally in love.

The dogs look like they survived bathtime! I had kids that looks like that!
