Blog Block

Hi Friend! Have you ever suffered from "Blog Block" ? That is my term for it, I think. And I am certainly in the doldrums when it comes to writing a post, lately.

In the middle of the night, slightly awake, i am most clever ...I imagine what I will say and it is at the same time humorous and riveting. But then, I wake up and completely forget what I was going to write.

So clever or not, I am here. Spring appears to be taking hold. My Vinca Minor is blooming as well as my Japanese Magnolia. Not to mention the "Daffy" dils all over the place. Yet we still have some really cold mornings in the '30s.

My passion lately has been knitting and I have found a wonderful source for all things knitting and crocheting: Ravelry   There are forums, groups, patterns (some are free) and how-to videos. If you have never picked up knitting needles or crochet hook, you might want to give it a try.

I am almost finished with a man's sweater vest. It has been a challenge because it has a stitch pattern to it that has sometimes been confusing to this addled brain of mine. They say that in older age it is good to challenge yourself physically and mentally. Not that I am old, mind you. :o)

What have you been up to lately? I would love to hear from you.

May the peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always!

So good to hear from you Charlotte!!
I get writer's block allll the time! I'll do something and want to share it- then think that no one wants to see that or read about that--- then low and behold, someone else writes about it!! I just pretend that I'm talking with Mom since I KNOW she reads me once a week! I notice that I do blog more during the summer than during the school year!. No time and burnt out by evening!
How amazing that you are knitting a men's vest!! You've got to share - please!! Take care and we've got to visit!! This summer since we missed our Nov. get together!

Hey Charlotte, Blocks I know well! At least you are creating art - wearable or hangable...it's art!

I think is here in Georgia! And try to keep a notebook by your bed and jot the ideas down if you wake up a little bit. Happy Spring.

Well hello! Nice to see you again. :) Our weather is about the same with chilly mornings and 60s for the afternoon. Love it. Our redbuds are blooming as are the azaleas. I've heard a lot of good things about Ravelry. Would love to see pics of your creations. I still have the brain fog, so I can relate to blog block quite well. The new pope sounds wonderful...what say you? Though he's not likely to help with my situation. Oh well!

Blog block happens sometimes, but then other times there are way too many ideas rattling around. At one time, I did blog daily and now while I do so often, it's usually not evy day. And it's not because I could not come up with post ideas, but instead it's to give others a break. Your knitting projects sound great so a good use of time vs. blogging, Charlotte.

Isn't that the truth! It's either in the shower, or even better the middle of the night when the best ideas come to mind. At least in the shower, you can go write it down afterwards, but in the middle of the night, who's going to turn on the lights and start jotting thoughts down...not moi!! :-)

I think we all know about blog block, Charlotte. Definitely no fun, but it does pass. When it happens to me, I just usually put it aside, and go back when I feel it's time. It never seems to last too long, and for me is always a symptom of too much going on in life at the time.
