Hello there!

Hi Friend! Where does the time go? It has been a busy time for us here as the last tenant moved out of one of our rentals and trashed the place. So all time that would be spent here at home gets put on the back burner, so to speak. Jim has been painting the whole inside of the house, walls and ceiling. Today we hired a house cleaner to get it in order for May 1st.

So I don't have much interesting to report. Except that we have a bird's nest in the shrub right outside our front door. Does anyone know what kind of bird has eggs like these? They are cute, aren't they?

All thoughts of buying new camera equipment went out the window on April 15th. We owed the Feds more than ever before. You know how it goes; the more you make, the more they take. But we did the right thing and paid. You have probably heard the old saying: nothing is certain in life except death and taxes.

Hope you are doing well and enjoying warmer weather. Peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always!

Those are Easter eggs!

I wouldn't mind the taxes if the money wasn't thrown away and used as a slush fund for family and friends. Gets my ire up every time I think about it!

I'm so sorry about more taxes. That was our story every year until this year. Well, so happens that Double D didn't make as much, so the Feds didn't get as much either. Hmph!

I googled the eggs and they appear to be house sparrow eggs. But I'm not 100% certain. How fun anyway. Love your photo!

Happy Easter, Charlotte and many special blessings to you!

We don't make much more, but the dems here in Illinois don't let that stop them. Hey, those eggs are pretty, but something isn't right there! Wonder if some other bird laid eggs in that nest too!
Good to hear from ya!

Hi Charlotte!! Great close up of your bird nest. We had some boxwoods die after this cold winter (they weren't well last summer either), so Danny cut them down this past weekend and in doing so, a nest with 3 baby chicks fell out. He stuck the nest on top of the azalea bushes while he completed cutting and cleaning up the front yard. With the cold and rain coming, I put the nest inside the azaleas and the mom found them and is still taking care of them. Thank goodness. I'm with Debbie - they don't all look like they came out of the same bird???? Let us know!! Have a Blessed Easter !

I'm so sorry to hear that you have to send more money to Washington instead of being able to get a new camera. I can relate! We've been doing standard deduction for about 5-6 years now, and we really get hit, despite us being on retirement incomes.

I don't know what kind of bird lays those eggs. You need to set up a vigil to find out the identify of the parents!

Taxes are the bane of so many. Sorry to hear you had to give more $ especially after having to spend $ and time fixing up the trashed rental. And, this is why we will not consider renting out our home...some people can be so careless with other people's property.
Happy Easter to yiu and Jim, Charlotte.

You have been dealing with mixed blessings. I trust all will soon be sorted and that you find some excellent tenants.
I love the eggs in the nest, lovely to have them right near your door!

Hi Charlotte! Glad you are doing well. Thanks so much for visiting me and alerting me about the blog posts not updating. I've been having some issues with Feedburner, but that seems to be fixed now that I've switched over to Mad Mimi. Sorry about your taxes. I've heard that saying a lot from my dad growing up! LOL!!

My sympathies on the tenant thing. We had two rental properties years ago and had to evict at least 3 people...who of course left the places all trashed up. We said no more and sold both of them. Wishing you a wonderful summer! You and I both need to get better at posting!
