Clare's Baptismal Dress

My good friend and neighbor, Jan, besides being a skilled Neonatal nurse, can do just about anything she sets out to do. She made this beautiful dress by cutting her daughter's wedding dress apart and using a pattern for a christening dress. And she painstakingly sewed the rosette that she created.

I wish I had a picture with Clare in the dress but I do not. Maybe Jan will share one with me.

Detail of the rosette

Detail of the sequins.

Nothing like a pretty bow.

In BW Blush by Flora Bella.

I wish I had half of her talent. Isn't it gorgeous!

I am going to hop over to White Wednesday and see what y'all have been up to.
Hope you are having a good day!

That is truly beautiful, the lady has talent.

I have read where they are making christening/baptismal gowns from vintage wedding dresses.

Your friend truly is a talent. I love that satin bow and it looks like covered buttons too. Sorry I am so late but wanted to wish you a happy White Wednesday and the rest of this week. Thank you for stopping by. :)

I'm so glad you stopped by! I, too, am a southern belle transplanted to the midwest but I can still shine!! The christening dress is exquisite.

Best,
