Tea Time

Hi Friends! I don't know about where you live, but here in the south, it is about all I can do to lift my iced tea to my lips and take a long drink. It is HOT and HUMID. Thinking about going out and taking photos has just not been on my mind. Not that I don't miss it though.
Last Saturday morning, I met my long time friends, Barbara, Paula, Sally and Donna to celebrate our birthdays. They all have grand darlings now so it is a bit hard to get together these days. I cherish these times we have together.

It was Donna who made reservations for us at Tea Leaves and Thyme, in Woodstock, GA. It is an old Victorian house with many rooms for ladies to have lunch and tea. Sadly, I forgot my real camera and had to settle for my camera phone. So please forgive the quality of the photos.

Here is our table after we had finished. Yes, I forgot to take any pictures of our delicious lunches. Sorry, I guess my memory is failing. :o) Everything was just so pretty and feminine. Lots of young ladies celebrating engagements, birthdays, etc. And little girls wearing their finest, with borrowed hats and gloves from the establishment.

Of course, almost everyone at our table ordered the chicken salad. Do you know any Southern lady who doesn't like chicken salad? This one had sliced almonds and grapes. Along with  my chicken salad (I ordered The Trio) my plate held a nice portion of creamy pasta salad with mandarin oranges, and a little scoop of frozen fruit salad with cherries and pecans. Three baby scones lined the edges of the plate, with whipped butter and lemon curd.

This was Paula's cup. Isn't it cute? And look at the inside:

We started with Berry Patch tea (very good) and when that was gone we ordered a pot of the tea of the day, Peach Green.

It was a lovely time and when it came time to pay our bill, we toured the gift shop. Here are a few of my favorite items:
Thank you my friends, for stopping by for a visit. I love when you do!

Happy Monday to all and have a wonderful and blessed week!

Fun post Charlotte! Sounds and looks like a wonderful time. I wouldn't know how to download my phone pics, so I am very impressed.

Betty,
there must be a better way. I sent each one to my email and then save each one to a folder. The unfortunate thing is that you can't really tell if they are in focus until you get them on a big screen.

Sounds like a delightful afternoon! Love your phone pics. You should submit these to PW's camera phone contest. :)
