It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night with an idea to make something? Well I did last night. I have this old window frame that Jim picked up somewhere and it has been sitting in the garage waiting for some inspiration.

I cleaned it up pretty well and then got to work on each panel. I printed up the words you see on top using the kingthings Christmas 2 font, which I love.

I found this on the
Graphics Fairy

 Cute, huh?

And this: I used this on my Christmas card this year.

I really want to paint the frame white, but that is another day.

And I know I have to add some other interest on the mantle. Any ideas would be welcomed. I am rather lame when it comes to decorating. I have to use others ideas. :-)

This is my re purposed "Christmas" pumpkin. It was still in good shape so why not? I might add some greenery or a bow.

This picture really doesn't show the real beauty of this tree when it is lit at night. It is a real tree and we picked it out at a nursery after breakfast on Sunday. I thought I would pick silver and purple as the tree colors this year, but I sneaked in a good many gold and a few red balls.

I really liked the white, glittery garland when I bought it. But I don't know exactly what to do with it. Ha!
Thank you, my friends, for stopping by today. I love when you visit!

And how are you faring this Christmas season? What kind of decorations, baking, crafting are you doing to "make the season bright"?

Never forget the reason for the season: the birth of Our Dear Savior Lord Jesus!!

Linking to these parties:
you are talking too much

I love your real tree, I have not gotten one yet, I hope there is still a pretty one out there somewhere. Richard from My Old Historic House.

I don't think you give yourself enough credit when it comes to decorating! You did a great job on the old window frame. And your tree is darn near perfect. I love the cross of Jesus hanging right behind it. Since we are trying to sell our house I am not decorating this year, so I'll have to admire the decorations of others.

The banner looks festive and Christmasy, Charlotte! You did a great job.

Love what you did on the old frame. And the tree is gorgeous!

Last night the granddarlings came over to help me wrap the angle tree gifts. We chose two teenage boys, siblings, this year and purchased the same things for each. Lo made sure that they had the same number of boxes to open.

At the moment, except for the folk art metal Christmas tree I put out yesterday, the only Christmas decorations are the empty gift boxes and wrapping paper on the floor! As soon as I clean that up, I'll decorate a bit more.

You did a perfect job decorating and love your tree. I like the shap, narrow and tall. That is the kind I need for the den. I bet your home smells so good with the pine fragrance wafting around the house.

Charlotte, this is wonderful!! I picked up an old window frame over the summer, attached a little wooden box to it, and made a plant holder. You can do so much with these things, and I so love what you did here with yours.

Thank you so much for sharing at The Creative Exchange this week.

Have a wonderful evening!

What a great idea, using the frame like that! Love your decorations... where am I? My tree is up, but boxes are stacked in the middle of the room, waiting for me. I'm behind on everything...! Thanks for inspiring me!
