Hi Friend! How has your week been going? Can you believe that it is almost the weekend?
When I looked at my last post, I realized it has almost been a week since I posted anything.
The above photo is part of an assignment from Kim Klassen's class, Beyond Layers. She made some brushes for us and gave us a tutorial on how to load them and use them. The brush above says "follow your bliss". I never "got" what brushes were, until well into Photoshop Elements. They can be used for so many things.
This was blooming outside the front door. Do you ever get sick of seeing flowers?

My hubby decided that our cement pets needed a make over. So he gave them a fresh coat of "oops" paint that just happened to be the color that we wanted.
Now here is where he got creative. See the soft wax in the right hand corner? It was left over from an Annie Sloan project....dark wax. Just the thing to bring out the details.
And here:
You can see the areas where he has applied the wax above.
Finished product, Matilda.
and Mabelline:
And I couldn't resist adding one of Kim's brushes. :o)
May the peace, joy and happiness of Jesus be with you today and always!
Til next time, I am

No, I never tire of your flowers. Love the crop and the brush in the first image! Great shot of Jimmy and Matilda. He did her proud!
So glad to see a post again! I was just wondering this morning where you've been!
No, I never tire of flowers. Ever!
Jim did a great job on Matilda and Mabelline. The bandana is a sweet touch and so is the stamp. Kim really comes up with some cool stuff. Looks like you are taking her instructions and running with them.
Blessings to you!!
you guys are a great pair!!
have a great weekend!
Never, ever get tired of flowers, and I love those cement dogs. Beautiful job sprucing them up. I still don't get those brushes... :) But very cool!
