My Last Meal

Hi Friend! Are you staying cool in this crazy hot heat? I thank God that we have not been blasted with storms that take out the electricity like happened up north. It could still happen.

Have you ever thought what you would like if you were to request your last meal? Hope it won't be real soon. I was thinking about it when I spied some raspberries at the market the other day.

Yummy!

Raspberries and heavy cream would be my dessert choice. And here is the rest of my menu:

1. Filet Mignon, slightly rare.

2. Garlic mashed potatoes.

3. Roasted asparagus.

4. Lots of crusty French bread.

5. A good bottle of white wine.

6. Cappucino.

How about you? What would you choose?

Love and Peace, XOXO

Gorgeous photos of the raspberries! They look divine.

I like your list, actually! Filet mignon, medium rare with steamed broccoli. Oh, heck, if it's my last meal let's just go with a loaded baked potato! Forget the vegetable. LOL And a bottle of Italian red wine to wash it down. Dessert would be bread pudding with whiskey sauce, NO RAISINS. If I can't have the filet just give me a whole heap of fried shrimp with lots of tartar sauce.

What a good post! Except now you have me drooling and hungry at 9:30PM! :)

Oh, those raspberries look so good! Let me see, what would I choose? Maybe a chocolate shake, pasta salad and bruschetta. I love me some carbs :)

-garlic & cheese grits
-fresh corn on the cob
-homemade pecan pie w/ REAL cream
Haha- tells you where I was raised and why I'm the size I am and FYI, the last time I ate ANY of these was -------- I can't remember when :-{{

You made me want to lick the screen looking at your pictures of those raspberries. Outstanding shots if they stir up the senses like that.

Mine would be 4 pounds of snow crablegs and a bucket of melted butter. That's it... no sides.

I see on the news a storm came through Cobb, hope you all are okay!

Charlotte, good choices in this post. I'll go for a broiled scallops main course, asparagus or broccoli with butter and herbs, basked sweet potato, add in a few onion rings just because I can. Dessert would be something involving chocolate and ice cream - heck, include them BOTH.
ps. I also like raspberries, blueberries and other fresh fruits so maybe these could be a fresh fruit appetizer? After all you didn't say how many courses in this last meal so might as well make it last.
