Knitting baby beanies

Hi Friend! I hope you are having a good week!

Just wanted to show you what I have been doing lately. And no, I don't have any grandchildren on the way....that I know of.

My good friend next door will be a grand mother for the second time in October, God willing. And her daughter has consented to letting Tammy of http://simplesouthernhappiness.blogspot.com/ and I to photograph the new baby when it is really a newborn. As I understand it, you can get some amazing shots when the baby is under 10 days old.

Anyway, I have started to amass a few props. This is supposed to look like a grape. Do you think it does?

Now you would think that I, since I have been knitting since 3rd grade would have no problem, right? Au contraire, mon amis! Although I have knit a number of items over the years, I picked up the needles and was very awkward with them. Had to rip out 3 hats. But I say never give up! Today I finally finished it. What do you think? :o)

Peace and love to you!

A posy for you from The Graphics Fairy

Looks like a purple grape! I tried my hand at simple knitting and was a dismal failure.

Can't wait to see the masterpieces by you and Tammy!

Well, it does indeed look like a grape! What a perfect little hat for the new arrival. How exciting that you and Tammy get to photograph a baby again!!! Can't wait to see the photos. I know the new parents are going to be pleased as punch with you two behind the lens.

I'd wear that adorable grape hat. Does it come in "big headed"?

Best,

I tell you, better hide this from Smuckers or they will want to squeeze to to make grape jam. TOOOOO darn cute for words. What a super prop this will be.

It does look like a grape, Charlotte! I think it's so wonderful that you can do that. I'm looking around to find some classes.
