Happy Halloween!

Hi Sweet One! Just stopping by to wish you  a safe and Happy Halloween today! Better late than never, I always say.

We have been running errands all day. It seems like forever that I have had time for blogging and checking on other blogs. Jim is getting better day by day so I will probably have more time soon.

These pumpkin photos were taken when we were in Destin. This house had a nice selection on their doorstep.

Do you get a lot of trick or treaters? Our driveway is up a hill and most kids are not willing to make the trek. We buy lots of candy every year but no one showed up last year. So Jim eats it all. Well, I do take a few pieces....

This dog, also in Destin, caught my attention. He was not the least bit worried about me taking his picture. My dogs would have been through the window if someone was seen outside.

Peace, happiness and love of Jesus be with you today and always, my friend!

Greetings to you and good to see some pictures you took with that new lens. THEY LOOK GREAT!

Love the pumpkins, wonder how they manage to keep the vermits away.

Even the squirrels try to eat our ceramic pumpkins, I doubt they would leave any of the real thing if we put some out.

We no longer do the candy thing.

Happy Halloween, dear Charlotte.
We are being overrun with Trick-or-Treaters right now.
I'm sending some your way!! :-)

Happy halloween!! What a great collection of gourds. Glad Jim is better!! We never get trick-or-treaters at home but I'm at my parents and hoping for some!

I'm so glad your hubby is doing better. Any kind of surgery can really take its toll on a person. That was a lovely front porch and pooch that you got a photo of!

Until last year, we lived in a small little neighborhood with more older people than young ones, & most of them kept their lights off on Halloween. I didn't think that was very nice, & we always had plenty but no treaters. Our first year in this home (last year), we had about 200! Yes, you read that right -- 200! We sat in our driveway and had a blast! That's exactly what we are planning for tonight. Can't wait!

This was the first year that we did not buy candy and sit on the front porch awaiting trick or treaters. There are no young children in our neighborhood. So we decided tomskipnthe expense and temptation and went outvtondinner instead. Glad to read that Jim is doing better.

Sorry I'm late wishing you a Happy Halloween; hope you didn't end up with too much candy. My cousin invited us over for gumbo, so we did that. Our neighbors told us that they don't get many trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood, so we took our candy to my cousins. We didn't know since it's our first year here.

I love the shots of the various pumpkins, especially the first one. And the dog in the turquoise window is too cute! What a great color for a window as well.
