Hello Ducky! Hope your week is off  to a good start. Mondays are not my favorite....oops...it is Tuesday! That is what happens when you are retired. You forget what day, month and season it is.

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I am a Patriot. I unabashedly love my country. And feel that we are losing some of the goodness of it. But, God is still in control and that's all I will say about that.

My New Year's resolution this year is to buy American. While a certain amount of importing and exporting can be a healthy thing for the economy, we have sent a lot of work overseas. There goes the "made in America". 

Have you tried to buy anything at Target lately? I went for the express purpose of buying some birthday gifts for my daughter. When the manager of the store asked me if I needed help finding anything, I said that I was looking for items made in the USA, he just said "good luck" and strode off. After a while, I left the store with not one purchase.

We can bring back jobs to the USA and feel proud of our products again, one item at a time.

Also, be sure and read the info on your canned goods and frozen fish. Did you know that a lot of the seafood sold frozen is from Vietnam and China. Not to disparage these countries but their methods of processing and feeding the fish is very different from our standards.

Although this blog subject has been brewing in my mind for some time, it was Dorothy and Pat who wrote their blog post this morning about the American Flag and that now it is a law that only the USA can manufacture the real thing.
