Spring Macro

Hi Sweetie! Nice to see you. Has spring arrived in your area of the woods? Although it is officially spring today, there is still a chill in the air. My dear friends from next door brought me this lovely Gerber Daisy....so pretty and cheerful, don't you think?

Last Saturday my Jimmy took a trip to Burger's Market to get a flat of Strawberry plants. We missed out last year so we are happy to have these. The above is a strawberry bloom.

I have been practicing with my macro lens. Auto focus will only do so much. You actually have to move your camera slightly forward or backward to find the perfect focus....not an easy task for me.

First strawberry spotted on one plant. I can't wait. I hope the birds and other critters don't get them all before we do.

Do you know what this flower is? DH got it for me. Is it a pin cushion?

Peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always, my friend!

Bloomz

Inside of part of a geranium blossom

Hello Sweet Pea! Are you enjoying this summer time? I sure can't complain about not getting enough rain! We have been getting a lot and my flowers are loving it.

Lilies are one of the best cut flowers I know of. This one is over a week old. I cut it from my front yard and it just doesn't know when to quit.

Now, what is this again....not a pansy but a .....can't remember.

Don't you just love the designs on this caladium? It reminds me of those old Japanese hand held paper fans.

Would you believe that this is part of a geranium blossom? It is.

I never get tired of my Coreopsis Moonbeam.

Just discovered the first blooms of my Plumbago. I love the star-like petals, don't you?

On another note, I just finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. If you can stand some raunchy language, it really is a study of a marital relationship gone wrong and I mean really wrong. Very sociopathic study.

Again, may the peace, love and happiness of the Lord, Jesus, be with you today and always!

Macro shots

Delphinium

Hi there, friend! I hope you have been doing well!

The two big C's, Camera and Computer, have been neglected by me of late. Don't know why. I am happy, but wonder why I am not more consistent. Hmmmm....

Meyer lemon blossom, maybe 1 inch across.
Since talking with my friend, Tammy of Simple Southern Happiness
I decided that I needed to get back in the groove, so to speak. So I dusted off my 105mm Macro lens and took a walk around my yard.

Penta
I had forgotten how hard it is for me to focus manually. You really have to have a steady hand and I cheated by shooting shutter priority rather than my usual aperture priority. Setting the shutter at 1/500th of a second worked, I think.

Blue Daze, about  3/4 of an inch across. Kim Klassen texture.

I forget what this is called but it is pretty and delicate.

There are just tons of hydrangea blooms and I am loving to cut and bring them inside to enjoy! They are selling 4 stems for $9 at Costco!

Seriously, I can almost smell this gardenia....so sweet!

Another view of my Delphinium.

Don't you love the creamy blossoms?!

Thanks for looking, Sweetie! Have a wonderful week!

May the peace, love and happiness of the Lord, Jesus, be with you today and always!
