Hello there!

Hi Friend! Where does the time go? It has been a busy time for us here as the last tenant moved out of one of our rentals and trashed the place. So all time that would be spent here at home gets put on the back burner, so to speak. Jim has been painting the whole inside of the house, walls and ceiling. Today we hired a house cleaner to get it in order for May 1st.

So I don't have much interesting to report. Except that we have a bird's nest in the shrub right outside our front door. Does anyone know what kind of bird has eggs like these? They are cute, aren't they?

All thoughts of buying new camera equipment went out the window on April 15th. We owed the Feds more than ever before. You know how it goes; the more you make, the more they take. But we did the right thing and paid. You have probably heard the old saying: nothing is certain in life except death and taxes.

Hope you are doing well and enjoying warmer weather. Peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always!

I get by with a little help from my friends!

Side yard

Hi Friend! This was how it looked outside this morning when I got up. I did add a cooling filter to emphasize the coldness. All the roads are melting with the slightly higher temps.

Outside our front door

Since coming back into the blogging fold, I have had some difficulty ...actually a lot of difficulty...hair tearing out time. My friend Tammy of http://simplesouthernhappiness.blogspot.com/
came to my rescue. She was calming in my storm.  Thank you, Tammy! It took several hours trying to figure out how to re-do my header and make sure that it was centered. Adding to the confusion, I have Windows 8 which is so different from Windows XP that I had before.

The birds are feeding heavily at Cafe Wilson.
Here is my experimental shot of a bird, a female Cardinal, I think. I shot it through a tinted window in my sun room with my longest lens, a 18-105 mm that came with my Nikon D90. To have enough light, I upped my ISO to 2500. Do you think I need a new lens? :o)

Stay warm and safe. May the peace and love of Jesus be with you today and always!

Autumn is coming

Good morning, Peaches! How are you today?

It is so gorgeously cool this morning, that I left my back door to the deck open. And you know what? A bird flew in and couldn't find it's way out. Wish I could tell you what kind.

With a little coaxing and opening a door opposite the other one, he finally flew out. It was a sweet moment. For me and the bird.

Getting ready to go to Mass in a little bit. Have a wonderful and restful Sunday!

Peace and love of Jesus to you!

Hello Friends!

Hello Sweetie Pies,

I can't believe that it is Saturday already and I haven't posted since Monday! Yikes! Where does the time go?

Since the doctor told me to exercise, I have been walking weekdays for 30 minutes. That really upsets my schedule. LOL But it is that, or taking some very expensive medicine. Since I am cheap frugal, I opted for the walking.

What have you been up to? I can't say that I have done much of anything that would be of interest to you. When life gets in the way, I don't save time for the fun things like taking photos.

But...I don't think I ever showed you my signs. Just for fun!

I did this sign of my blog  to put out on my deck. It was made on a piece of plywood. The letters were printed, then enlarged at FedEx to the size of my board. Transferred to the wood with graphite paper and then painted in with black paint.

This sign was stenciled onto a piece of painted plywood also.

Made this one for my husband with the same method as above.

Thanks for visiting!

 Stay tuned. XOXO
